Presentation of the Ron Barnard Trophy

On Saturday July 10th The Ron Barnard Trophy was played for. Everyone thought it was going to be "rain stop play2 but by the time the draw had the weather changed, in our favour and we was able to play on. There was plenty of laughter in a relaxed atmosphere. It got more serious when we got down to the quarterfinals. The only man left standing was Stan Ward our chairman who played Gwenda Harrison, Stan won by a whisker. Pauline Roberts played a close game against Pam Payton with Pauline winning. Pauline and Stan went on to play brilliant game in the finals but it was Pauline who took home the trophy. Jean brought along her grandson Oscar who presented her fathers trophy to Pauline beautifully. When all the photos had been taken everyone went into the club for lovely refreshments and a raffle was drawn. Another great day with more to come.
