Barmouth News - 4th July, 2010

Where future events and specific information are mentioned, these are highlighted for easy reference.

Open fire day

There will be an Open Day at Barmouth Fire Station on Saturday 24th July from 10.30am until 2.30pm. There will be a turntable ladder and a multi purpose education vehicle as well as a Suburu Impreza demonstration car. The Suburu is used by Fire & Rescue personnel in connection with discouraging boy racers and young people from driving in a manner, which is likely to bring them to the attention of the police or fire brigade, as a result of an accident. There will be other emergency services in attendance including coast Guard, Life Boat, First Responders and Traffic Police. Refreshments available. The aim is to give the people of Barmouth a chance to see the station and understand what goes on there and what happens when an emergency call is received. It is also hoped that the event will help raise funds for the Barmouth community Bonfire Event that is run each year for the safe enjoyment of residents.

U3A July Meeting

The Barmouth U3A Monthly Gathering will be at the earlier time of 1.30, in Parlwr Mawr at the Dragon Theatre on Wednesday 14th July.
