Day of Prayer

On Friday 5th March the WomenÕs World Day of Prayer will be celebrated in Barmouth at 11am in Christchurch, led this year by the women of Siloam Chapel with members from all the towns Churches taking part. The theme is ÒLet everything that has breath praise GodÓ it was chosen and prepared by the women of Cameroon in West Africa. The message is ÒPlease feel free to join in this annual celebration and feel kinship with other women around the worldÓ

Theatre and Community Centre

Melville Penzer chaired the meeting on Monday 15th February. There were a number of apologies. Manager Allison Williams reported on a number of events, including a number of films which have been shown, but have had very small audiences. The web site is now operational. The Treasurer Geraldine Vincent gave a comprehensive report, sadly maintenance costs continue to increase and are a matter of concern to the theatre.

Dragon Film

On Sunday, 28th February there will be a screening of a highly regarded fantasy film from Japan called Spirited away. It is suitable for 7 to 14 age group. Further information on Dragon events will be found on their website: www.dragontheatre.co.uk
