This section of the 'Barmouth' web site provides information to the traveler about Barmouth and its surrounds. (For information about accommodation and shops etc., use the 'businesses' at the top of this page, or the link below). The photographs are mostly those of the author, John Pugh, a native of Barmouth and the author of this web site. Any photographs or articles that are donated are acknowledged. My main purpose for my Barmouth web site is to link people together and present the historical and geographical features of the Barmouth and Snowdonia area. Where links do not exist I plan to add content later. Hopefully the words themselves will stimulate interest. The site will never be finished, the stories not all told. The above picture was sent to me by a Barmouth resident.
Growing up in Barmouth was a joy, not only because of the sheer beauty of the area, but also because of the people I grew up with - my parents, family, friends and those who cared about our community and strived to improve it. This web site is dedicated to them.
